2023: SUBMISSIONS OPEN

Welcome to 2023, toads…

Yes, we ARE a month late, but, as always, still fashionably on time.

Here’s what we have for you, Southwest Missouri creatives:

ISSUE 7: VINTAGE PBS

We’ve narrowed down. Not 4 issues, or even 3, but TWO issues total for the year. NOT ENOUGH MAGAZINES, you say? It’s going to be ok, we promise. Paring down to 2 issues allows us to make those issues even better, and to work on other things outside the magazine; like more Tiny Toad press books, more collaborations, more exhibits, more contributor events, and more of the more more.

ISSUE 7: “VINTAGE PBS”

We went with something sure to touch the nostalgia of us all, for this issue… vintage PBS. Think Bob Ross, Magic School-bus, Mr. Rodgers, Arthur, and more…

MONTHLY CHALLENGE: “Saturday Morning Cartoons and Breakfast”

Last year, we started up monthly challenges, with great success: themes like, “Coffee, upside down,” “Christmas in July,” “Retro Arcade,” and, of course, “Nic Cage.” The latter also prompted our very first exhibit.

We’ve all rested up after a couple-month break; we’re ready to build the momentum back up with a new challenge AND a new exhibit based around the top submissions from the February challenge.

Any creative format goes here: not just the usual artwork & writing, but also song, video, radio-drama, and other digital formats.

That’s all for now, kids.

Stay tuned. Next month means a brand new creative challenge AND open submissions for the next Tiny Toad Press project!
