We have a goal to publish the work of 3 wonderful poets/authors in 2024, giving each of them their own Tiny Toad Press book (click here or here to see our previously published Tiny Toad Press books).

But, the reality is, we're a small operation with limited funds. The only way we can publish these three books is if we hit our pre-order goal of 35 before March 15.

The three books, by publication date, are:

  • April 1: A Life, Framed by Toads by Chad Woody

  • July 1: Rhamnusia by Alek Miller

  • October 1: Poems for When You’re Falling by Myranda Burton

We couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for supporting the arts in our community!

Please note: You will be charged immediately. Books will ship on the publication date above. If we fail to reach our pre-order goal we will be sad. But, we will also refund your payment.

WHAT IS TINY TOAD PRESS?

Tiny Toad Press is an imprint of local humor and arts magazine The Joplin Toad. The goal of Tiny Toad Press is to help authors and poets break into the publishing world by publishing extraordinary tiny books. We publish first-time authors/poets as well as seasoned writers.

We like to keep our books small for two reasons: 1) To publish with us, an author needs only a solid five-thousand-word short story, rather than a seventy-thousand-word novel, and a poet only needs ten to fifteen poems, instead of fifty, and 2) a reader is much more likely to pick up a book of poetry from an unknown poet if there are only ten poems, if the cost is low ($5), and if the poet is local.

All of our books are limited run, hand-numbered, and signed by the author/poet.
