Artist Interview: John and Cody Martin (podcast)
For this issue’s artist interview, our host Jeremiah Jones sat down with local creators John and Cody Martin. The Martins hail from Nevada, but have close ties to the Joplin community (you can see Cody’s work in this issue’s ‘toadlee comic’ piece, and you’ve seen John’s writing in the form of short stories for previous Joplin toad issues).
The Martins’ main focus is the business they’ve crafted together, creating hand-bound customized journals for writers, illustrators, journalers and dreamers aplenty. Jeremiah talks to them about how community has inspired them, what it’s like to work together as a couple, and much much more.
