WE HAVE A PATREON (+ more news!)

Hey all. This lil’ page isn’t a feature- it’s some toad news for you all. Who doesn’t enjoy a good update?
Here’s what we’ve been up to, and here’s what’s next!

WE HAVE A PATREON. SUBSCRIBE?

That’s right. We listened to you all- you wanted a way to subscribe to the mag, and something more user friendly than our previous ko-fi page. We are shifting from ko-fi to Patreon , where you’ll find brand new tiers that allow you to support us in ways both large and small- and gives you a way to actually SUBSCRIBE to the magazine. You’ll want to visit the page itself for the full rundown, but here’s a quick peek at what the tiers offer in exchange for your monthly support:

  1. this is an acrostic: $2

C’mon. This is half the cost of your daily coffee (or maybe like a tenth). It’ll get you a shoutout in the mag, and access to our freshly built discord server, where you can weigh in on secret toad matters and interact with our team.

  2. of the word “Toad”: $7

this one ups the goodies a lot. You’ll get the previous items, plus the magazine itself (released quarterly), an early digital version of the magazine, and an exclusive quarterly collectible sticker.

  3. as in, we want to support the toad: $20

previous items, + a quarterly signed print of the cover art, and a quarterly patron-exclusive merch item from our top line. Hats, shirts, handmade toad pottery item, that sort of thing.

  4. (dance music starts, loudly): $100

now we’re talking previous tiers content, + quarterly signed postcards from the featured artists, and most importantly, annual local commissioned art pieces valued at at least $1000, w/ input from you on which of our selected artists you’d like to choose from. We will be sending the largest amount from this tier back to the artist(s) themselves, so you’re supporting both us and them.

  • ARTSFEST: Sept 17th & 18th.

That’s this very weekend. We’ll have a booth set up in the outdoor courtyard- from 6 to 9 on Friday evening, and again from 10-4 on Saturday. We’re just a small part of the fun; there will also be some sweet performances by local bands and of course, TONS of amazing local art. We’ll have some fun surprises for you with an unconventional theme and lots of goodies from our team and from some of our contributors too. Check out their Facebook page for more info!

  • PORCHFEST: Oct 2nd

We’re pretty excited to be set up at this very unique event, in which one of Joplin’s neighborhoods opens up its’ streets and porches from 1-7pm for musical performances running all day, food trucks, and lots of art and activity vendors. Definitely a day to remember, for the whole family! Find out more by following their Facebook page, or by visiting their website.
